Kitten Purchasing Info

What kittens are available?

I put kittens up for sale when I’m sure of what color they will be. This is usually between 8-10 weeks. I will post a picture of the kitten and all relevant information like parentage, sex, and color. The pictures you see are of the actual kitten you will get. The kittens will be ready to go home with you when they are 12 weeks old. Cash only at kitten pickup please.

How much is a kitten?

Kittens are currently $1000.

Do you have health guarantees?

Of course! You are required to take your new kitten to a vet for a thorough examination within 3 days of receiving it. If the vet finds anything amiss, I will take back the kitten and fully reimburse you. Genetic or congenital problems have a 3 year window for refund.

How will I get my kitten?

If you live or can meet me within Wisconsin, Easter Minnesota or Northern Illinois I can deliver your new kitty to you for free. If you live further than that, I can meet you at the closest airport, and I can fly your kitten to you for $700. I cannot send a kitten outside of the continental US.

Are these purebred Ragdolls?

Yes! I will provide you with any pedigree information you’d like prior to buying and will provide you with registration through TICA (The International Cat Association) after payment.

How are the kittens raised while they are at Blue Lilac Dolls Cattery?

The kittens stay with their mother until it is time to go to their forever homes. Their mothers are beloved pets and members of our family. They have free range over our house. They interact with visitors including dogs belonging to friends and family, and my boisterous and noisy grandchildren. They are highly socialized and friendly.

What vaccines, etc. will they have gotten?

They will have gotten their first round of vaccinations and dewormed before they go home with you.

Can Ragdolls go outside?

No! They do not have the survival instincts most cats are born with. The same breeding that makes them such excellent, even-tempered house cats make them totally unsuitable for outdoor living. I don’t judge people who have indoor/outdoor cats. I’ve lived in the country all my life and grew up on a farm, so I know cats can thrive outside. This is different. Your kitten contract includes a stipulation that you agree not to let them roam.

What if I want to get my cat declawed?

Don't! After their somewhat chaotic kitten period, they are gentle and won't use their claws aggressively. If you are worried about furnishings, simply provide a nice scratching object or clip their nails. They are very docile and will let you give them a trim. When you agree to your kitten contract, you agree you will never declaw your Ragdoll.
